We are a regulated insurance underwriter with deep roots in underwriting and the capability to underwrite on behalf of insurers or syndicates having held broad coverholder approval.
In May 2023, the insurance management services portfolio from Ortac was acquired by Davies, the specialist professional services & technology firm. Ortac’s insurance management services portfolio combined with Davies’ Captive Management division, now offer truly independent advice to suit each individual client’s jurisdictional insurance needs across Europe, the U.S., Latin America, Canada, Asia, Guernsey, Australasia, and the UK.

Ortac working with Davies is able to support those who underwrite themselves having supported a turnkey development from incubation to full stand-alone status. Our extensive experience, knowledge and systems capability means we can support underwriters not only in Guernsey but around the world. Through our sister company Arena Systems we can supply a bespoke MGA software package – ACTOR III.
Underwriting
Established in 2001 to underwrite General Aviation on behalf of various Lloyds and Company markets. Ortac held Lloyd’s Coverholder status.
Through innovation the company has diversified over the years to offer bespoke services to a number of insurers worldwide, including underwriting for capacity providers, underwriting support and insurance company management provided by Davies Guernsey from May 2023.
